Robert Mack
Town Supervisor for the Town of Union,
Key Issues & Initiatives:
- Housing Shortage: Mack focuses on addressing a local housing deficit affecting thousands of units, though he has opposed state “Pro-Housing Community” certification for parts of the town outside its villages to preserve local zoning control.
- Infrastructure & ARPA Funds: Oversees the allocation of millions of dollars in federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) COVID-19 relief funding toward town infrastructure projects.
- Taxes & Assessment: Opposes a town-wide property reassessment due to concerns over its financial impact on seniors, proposing alternative approaches to property tax adjustments.
